The holiday season is full of fun; however, it can be hard to engage in festivities when stuck in the winter doldrums.
If you’re trying to escape maddening shopping centers and malls, it would be fun to gather a bunch of your friends and head over to a rink to go ice skating. It’s usually pretty cheap and rarely crowded. Plus, it’s more fun when you’re already bundled up for the chilly weather and relaxing with a cup of hot chocolate afterward.
If you’re not much of an ice skater, you can head to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square. With more than 500,000 outdoor lights illuminating the gardens, it certainly makes for a beautiful stroll, as well as an escape from gray winter slums.
The bitter cold can keep some inside, but it shouldn’t have to keep you from enjoying winter fun. Gathering an exclusive group of friends for a holiday party will bring everyone together. Ask guests to bring their favorite holiday treat — it’s fun to share, and you don’t have to get stuck with providing tons of food.
Maybe you’re looking for something quiet and cozy during the cold, bustling holiday season. Pay a visit to Blockbuster and treat yourself to a few movies and snacks, and don’t forget the hot chocolate to keep warm. Sometimes all we really need is a peaceful night.
