The New Hope-Solebury High School Key Club sponsored its first senior citizen prom this past Valentine’s Day.
Overall, there were about 25 senior citizens and 20 students in attendance. The seniors had a wonderful time and would like to make it an annual event.
A few senior citizens told teacher Andrea Sass, the club’s adviser, that this was their first prom, due to uncontrollable circumstances, such as being called for duty in the war.
Seniors danced, ate and played bingo during the event.
They were all very appreciative and left with big smiles. Consensus showed that this event was a huge success.
